On your own, as a couple or with a family: well covered abroad

Maternity, dental care, optical, repatriation: we choose your policy based on what matters to you, not just on price. If you are planning a child, the date you take out cover matters as much as the premium.

For whom: expatriates on their own, as a couple or with a family, with or without plans for a child

What we check for you

  • The maternity waiting period of each policy, and the deadline to take out cover for your plans
  • The reimbursement limit for childbirth in your country, which can be very expensive in some destinations
  • Cover for the newborn and the deadlines to declare them
  • Dental and optical benefits: limits, waiting periods, prostheses and glasses
  • Medical assistance and repatriation and access to a network of clinics with direct billing
  • Whether or not it is worth keeping the CFE as a top-up

Frequently asked questions

What is the maternity waiting period?

It is the period during which the policy does not yet cover pregnancy and childbirth. On international policies it is often 10 to 12 months. If the pregnancy begins during this period, the costs may remain yours to pay.

Can I take out cover if I am already pregnant?

Some insurers accept it, but an ongoing pregnancy is generally excluded. Let's talk about it: every situation deserves a close look.

Are my children covered from birth?

Most policies cover a newborn if declared within a set period after birth. We remind you of that deadline at the right time.

Are dental and optical care well reimbursed abroad?

It varies a great deal from one policy to another: annual limits, waiting periods, cover for dental prostheses or glasses. We compare these benefits against your real needs.

Is the assessment free?

No. The assessment is free. Any administration fees are disclosed to you before you take out a policy.
