Frequently asked questions

Should I join the CFE when I retire abroad?

It depends on the country and your pension scheme. In a European Union country, the S1 form can give you access to the local health system, and the CFE then often duplicates it. Outside the European Union, it can be a useful base, topped up with an international policy.

Is there an age limit for taking out cover?

Yes, most international policies set a maximum age for joining. Once insured, some policies cover you for life. It is a key criterion in our selection.

Can you help me with the paperwork?

Yes. We tell you which forms to request and the steps to follow, and we follow your insurance file until your card is issued.
